Amins Manufacturing Ltd

Amins Manufacturing Ltd was formed in 1977, to operate a Footwear Manufacturing Company during the era of the newly established Independent Nation of Trinidad & Tobago, where the Government was encouraging entrepreneurs to invest in labour intensive industries.The policy of Import restrictions did help these industries to develop and grow and with local and Caricom competition the regional market was well serviced. The free trade policy and lowering of the import tariffs in 1995 affected many manufacturing companies in the country. Amins Manufacturing Ltd maintained its manufacturing operations up to 2003 and phased its business into a footwear importer and distribution company, due to severe competition, mainly, from Chinese manufactured footwear.Over the past 26 years the Company has developed two distinct markets, one for safety footwear and the other conventional dress and casual shoes for men and boys.
